If I downloaded both of these tonight I'd almost rather watch Louie than GoT.

I kinda wish it was the real Louis and not this dreary schlubby guy. Maybe it's his acting that bothers me. He's just so inactive and dumb.

Maybe I'm tired of the neurotic loser schtick.

Watching Maron in the last episode and thinking how I'd rather be watching his show. Or Pamela. Or basically anyone else.

Is louie supposed to be on drugs or something? Real people don't act like this.

Let's get off of this show's dick already.

Season two was top of the mountain fantastic; I will admit I have not enjoyed it as much since but still watch.

Season 3 was my favorite. Haven't seen the new one yet.

There's a lot of things about this show that don't happen in real life. It's a heightened, absurdist expression of his own life, insecurities and neuroses. I imagine the character he plays is at least true to how he sees himself at times-- schlubby and ineffectual. And I like how that all goes away as soon as we see him step on a stage. To me that says a lot about how he views his craft and persona.

I should say that I liked the first two seasons, but it seems to be getting worse. That Seinfeld episode was nearly unwatchable.

Season 1-3 (but especially 2 & 3) are about as good as any TV show has ever been (outside of Mad Men).

Season 4, while a slight drop maybe, was still better than 90% of the shows on TV. But honestly, until I watch it from beginning to end again, I'm not comfortable saying that season four showed any significant drop-off.

Louie doesn't really seem to benefit from the open relationship scenario Pamela laid out for him.

I felt like some of the stuff in Thursday's episodes rehashed "Eddie" a bit, but their conversation in the bar was really great. There was also: "Hey, buddy, stop molesting kids!"

hey, you're right. That kind of seems like its not part of the Pamela storyline though, didn't it? If not, good for him?
