Ok I think this requires 2 list . List how I rank them at time of release, and how feel about them now in comparison to the rest of the catalog.

Time of Release

1. Alive

3. Nothing as it Seams
4.Given to Fly
5.I am Mine
6.Spin The Black
7.Who You Are
8. Go
9. Mind Your Manners
10.Dark Matter
11. WWS
12.the fixer

Now
1. GTF
2.Alive
3.Nothing As it Seams
4. DOTC
5.Go
6.Who you Are
7.I am Mine

Alive
Dance
Mind Your Manners
Go
Dark Matter
I Am Mine
World Wide Suicide
Given to Fly
The Fixer
Nothing As It Seems
Spin the Black Circle
Who You Are

4-9 you could probably flip a coin. Very close

But in terms of how much I loved it at the time of release

World Wide Suicide
Dance
Mind Your Manners
Given To Fly
Go
The Fixer
I Am Mine
Dark Matter
Alive (released before i discovered the band but was not early favorite)

Interesting how Alive at some point climbed to the top. I've always loved it, and it is a top 10 song for me. I'm not sure exactly why isn't number 1 . I would not be surprised if gets there someday.
It maybe that if you asked 100 people at a Creed concert or just random genxers . I'm talking about fans of rock alternative rock etc what their favorite PJ song is Alive would win out going away. I think in someways I needed my own secret world of Pearl Jam . The greatness of the Band isn't in their singles but in there rich catalog of tracks that only their true fans know. It makes me eager in away to dismiss their early hits . Then a strange thing happens and I actually listen to a EvenFlow or Betterman and the light bulb goes off. Oh that is a incredible song. Ten is a incredible album.

It was a combination of two things for me. One was a few incredible live performances during the 03 tour that really unlocked how the meaning of the song had changed and evolved. The other was the RVM BoB remix that made everything sound just a little more sharp and purposeful. And that was enough. Just a little nudge and suddenly it all refocused in a way that transformed Alive into my favorite song by any band (Find the River by REM is number 2)

Ok cool like REM, but wouldn't call myself a fan. I have heard anything other than radio hits. So I'm looking forward to checking that song out.

Best attempt at what I would’ve chosen for first singles:

Even Flow
RVM
Corduroy
Hail, Hail
GTF
Letter to the Dead
I am Mine
WWS
The Fixer
Lightning Bolt
DOTC
Wreckage

It'd be interesting to rank the list based purely on how well they did at picking the right song relative to the options they had for an album. For instance, STBC would probably be the worst first single for me given that they had Corduroy or Better Man as clear great options. On the flip side, I think they nailed Yield by picking Given to Fly.
