Well cant keep and Long Road would be in my list

but Im adding HTI and SOLAT because even though I like them Black is Pearl Jams #1 song probably (OR at least up there but all the other contenders have been eliminated) and you guys are insane

I wouldn’t have had Black here at all, and from Ten alone would have preferred to see Porch, Alive, Jeremy, Oceans, Release, or Once in its place. I do enjoy Black but I go through various phases where the song grates on me for some reason. Might be in part because it would fit just a nicely on MTV’s Jock Jams Does the Ballads - aka, the song every meathead at the show with 50 beers in his gut waits all night for. I am getting a lot of my strangely anti-bro aggression out talking about this song this week.

the merkinball hate is more confusing than the Black hate, given all the No Code era / Jack Irons boneriness around these parts

You could say that about any 4 songs in this round. These are all great songs. I just prefer to listen to the faster/heavier stuff more.
