Alright!! After a few months im going back to this series. Next is Halloween 2 from Rob Zombie. I think i saw this one on the cinema, cant remember...i remember going to see the first one, but im not sure about this sequel.

I did like it enough, and i have the Unrated version now, which it seems have a lot of new stuff so im psyched.

Saw Halloween 2018 for the first time last week and really loved it. Saw Halloween Kills and really hated it. Overall ranking of the ones I've seen recently:

1
2018
3
4
2
Kills
6
5

I guess I'll watch H20 at some point but it doesn't seem to be streaming anywhere and lol at paying for it. From what I remember it will prob rank below 6.

H20 is really good, ill rank it higher than Curse

but i loved Kills really....I think this one and Kills back to back is a great and fun way to make a trilogy

very curious about Ends...there is a strong rumor that its going to be super bonkers

There is no logic to 90% of what people do in Kills, and the social commentary is painful and stupid. I did like Big John and Little John though, and there was never a point where I was confused as to what was actually going on, both of which immediately put it ahead of 5 and 6.

i would rank them like this

- Halloween (1978)
- Halloween 2 (1971)
- Halloween (2018)
- Halloween 4
- Halloween H20
- Halloween (Rob Zombie)
- Halloween Kills
- Halloween 2 (Rob Zombie)
- Halloween 6
- Halloween 5
- Halloween 8

I still need to check Halloween 3 again.

3 is great, probably I should have put it above 2018 and maybe above the first one. Part of a small but important subgenre of movies in which Tom Atkins tools around California solving mysteries.

I watched Halloween 3 tonight and I cannot say I enjoyed it. The story was pretty silly and there were 0 scares. The music was cool and there were some good practical effects, but overall it was a major dud.

I think I'm going to check out the Rob Zombie movies next.

I fail to see what anyone could find silly about a movie in which Druid robots broadcast a commercial that turns kids into snakes and bugs if they watch it on Halloween.

Also somehow they transport part of Stonehenge across the Atlantic Ocean and continental US, and if my memory serves me, the villain is asked at one point how they did this, and he basically just says “lol yeah it was tough!”
