I was watching Jedi on Spike last night and by jeepers are those new effects fucking awful. The Sarlacc pit was a travesty.

I started watching about 1/2 way thru, and I had never seen the redone ending with the CGI celebrations on the different planets...how anyone thought that was a good idea is beyond me...

My 5-year old made me watch a majority of the episodes this weekend (it was cold and snowy out), and watching episode 4 after 1-3 made me realize how horrible the CGI (among other things) ruined those episodes. There was so much going on with the effects it made my head hurt.

Will thought that Empire was the best episode (he made his dad proud).

Agreed; 12 year old Biff thought the original Sarlacc was so cool.
The added CGI just made space look so much more cluttered than before. And give me the real puppet Yoda anyday.
