This just got announced, and since it's coming out on March 20, it's now the true recorded debut of Pete Johnston's See Through 4, Bog Standards. This has trumpet instead of piano to accompany the bass, sax, and drums, and it consists of new arrangements of older Johnston compositions as opposed to the new ones written for quartet on False Ghosts, Minor Fears. Right now, "The Answer is Slow" can be streamed, originally released on Parallel Lights, the last See Through Trio album. Here's the Bandcamp player:

Dave Simonett (Trampled By Turtles, Dead Man Winter) released his debut solo album "Red Tail" yesterday. It's so good I'm about to risk a visit to the record store to acquire a physical copy.
