I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

This just doesn’t look, I don’t know, fun like the original. The first one(s) was a comedy. This looks like they’re trying to recreate Stranger Things and adding Ghostbusters logos everywhere. They may have made this a comedy but there’s nothing in this trailer that would indicate that.
That being said, Annie Potts is in it and the phone call at the end of it is enough to get me to watch it. Potts has become like Susan Sarandon for me. Just entirely hot even as an old lady.

When the Mobile starts blazing thru the wheat field, the Ray Parker song should’ve started playing.

The trailer gives it an epic feeling, not the comedy feel from the original movies. I don't know if Ghostbusters is necessarily an "epic" type movie.
It sorta has the same feel/setup as The Force Awakens trailer.

just try to go into this without the unrealistic, super high expectations and try to enjoy it for what it is. it's supposed to be a fun movie geared toward a general audience. expecting something more is like complaining about the dialogue in star wars.

yeah, it seems super close to that TFA idea of a soft reboot...i mean even the bad guy is from the first movie.
Still, ill get emotional once the guys appear.

It definitely has the feel of a big budget Disney Channel or Nickelodeon Halloween Special but I have a lot of fond memories watching those goofy movies with my kids and my 11 year old might still be young enough to be in on this so for that reason I’m looking forward to it just so I can watch it with him before he’s too cool for this stuff.
