It's not like this guy just happened to find this clip anywhere, the Bill Simmons connection is a legit hint.
Unless you are referring to Bill Simmons as the random nut job?
where did bill simmons say this was a pearl jam song?

No. But hoping.
hope and desperation are two different things
RM has killed you. You weren't always this cynical.
so here's the thing: i would LOVE for pearl jam to do a 180 and try something different. and something along these lines is different for sure. if it doesn't work, i would never hold it against the band because they had the balls to go out on a limb. it's why i never criticized backspacer. i didn't care for some of the songs, but it was conceived out of an entirely different idea, and i loved that.
this is different. this is people commenting on a specific clip that they don't know to be the truth. it's people praising a clip that they have no idea to be truth or not because they so want it to be real (not for the substance, but for the novelty). this is no different than that horrible alternative nation outlet.

If that snippet IS PJ, it's the most interesting I've heard them sounds since Binaural. Not sure if the whole thing would hold up, but bless them for trying. It's better than the other snippet that Demitrios or whatever guy posted from Matt's Insta story that sorta sounded like I Am Mine Pt 2.

Bill Simmons is a notorious pearl jam fan who continually plays pearl jam across his podcast, while also being close with the band. Pearl jam have been in bed withs ports outlets to promote their music for years. Bill Simmons playing a little snippet of new music....and to actually state with an obvious grin "here's some new music" without actually stating who or what...to put a tease out there....seems completely plausible.
From the leaks form people who supposedly heard the clips.....this absolutely matches the description thats out there.
Lecherous, while was wrong about the song being released last friday, was absolutely spot on about their being a big announcement and other little nuggets about everything going on. He confirms.
This could absolutely be real. Of course we wont know until tuesday.

Strat, if they run an article "CONFIRMING NEW PEARL JAM SINGLE" based on what is in this thread, you know it has to be posted.

I think there's a chance this is close to being true. I found that quote regarding the making of Gigaton to be odd, or at least odd they used it.

Love it or hate it, Billy Joe Armstrong has a very distinct voice singing for Green Day.
Their recent single sounds nothing like Green Day which is fine, I guess, except that you would never be able to guess it is Billy Joe Armstrong singing if someone didn’t tell you it was Green Day.
I’m fine with PJ trying something new but I still want to be able to recognize Ed’s voice.

Can confirm that this is DOTC. I've only heard an extended snippet. It sounds good. Reminds me You Are.

I’ve a feeling we’ll all hear the full thing before Monday.
No, I don’t have sources. It’s just a hunch. I think this snippet is DoTC, and it’ll pop up this weekend.

New music drops on Fridays, so I wouldn't even be surprised if it was a Ten Club member download today with a wider download next week.
