this actually feels good to me

cool musicianship mostly and ed doesn't sound terrible.. good enough range for him

that's a good point; there is more "accidental" ambient studio noise in this album than we had any right to expect in 2020

It's better on 2nd listen. I think maybe I just had to come to terms that I might actually enjoy new PJ and now its blast off.

On second listen I can hear a little more of the band that made Backspacer in this song. Which is not an insult just an observation that I missed the first time. I like the mania in this song but it's less raw and a little shinier the second time around for me.

I don't get the Last Exit comparison at all. Not even remotely close to it. This is more like a classic rock era Aerosmith does a Lightning Bolt era Pearl Jam song.

was hard for me to wrap my head around it due tot he ambient intro. It went the complete opposite direction and im still dealing with that.
