In My Tree, though Tremor Christ is a classic as well. #4 as a track number has a deep bench.

It’s amazing how you guys get such hard boners for Jack playing tom rhythms

That’s one of the highlights. The part that underwhelms is:

“Up here in my tree yeah”
[no vocals and boring bass line for two whole bars]

“Newspapers matter not to me yeah”
[no vocals and boring bass line for two whole bars]

Like 50% of the song is a snoozer.

In My Tree is fine. Nothing special.

Tremor Christ however is fucking amazing.

Now that you mention it I never noticed that there were so many bars of sparse instrumentation and no vocals near the start of the song. If I had to guess I'd say this is some kind of oversight and not an arrangement technique used to build tension in anticipation of the thunderstorm that unleashes moments later. Somebody really should've caught on to that

I mean to each their own...this band has definitely written some boring songs in its time, just for my money this sure as hell ain't one of them.

Like I said, you guys have big boners for Jack playing rhythmic patterns on the toms.

It's not even that I dislike the song. It's fine. It's an ok song. It's just so overrated by Pearl Jam fans. It's not even close to their greatest song but people jizz all over it. I'm right about this, Jorge

But I don't mind stepping back from whining about it if it bothers you that much. SBWM is getting a little too much love lately anyway

Focus on your focusness, Ruddo.
