I still love to RAWK, but I think I need something weirder, maybe more texturally interesting, something not so sure of itself, something that has more layers of maturity, something not so melodramatic, something that asks questions and wants to figure a way forward, rather than something that's just screaming about a problem, something that is more concerned with dealing with emotions rather than expressing them in a huge outburst. the opening riff in RVM alone is better than the entirety of cropduster. it's so propelling its hard not to have a physical reaction to it. the way the song builds around the riff, goes into that weird bridge, and then EXPLODES leads to one of the most intense pearl jam songs ever. it's been a live highlight since 1993. \
