Hard to tell what will happen. Russia has superior power, but what is their goal? A dictatorship in Ukraine? Make it a part of Russia?

The most plausible theory I've seen is that it's a bit of shock and awe to cow Ukraine into accepting Russian control of the Donbas region (do we actually think Russia thinks they can take and hold Ukraine?). But perhaps they do!

If this could end with Ukraine only giving up Donbas and Crimea, and then being free to live free in their democracy, even join the EU in time, that would be something to consider. But the Russians going after Kiev tells me something else. We’ll see.
