yeah, but they are not. They will keep making these. Both of the new Avengers and the Fantastic Four will be a hit.

Hell, this thing is a massive hit.

I appreciated this review, does a good job of articulating the many ways in which this movie fails beyond Family Guy level reference-as-humor, its total lack of purpose or meaning, and the insulting way it treats audiences (though, given the hooting-and-hollering response we're seeing to cameos that amount to cosplay, maybe the audience wants and deserves the insults)
The film invites us to gawp at these comebacks. Meta-referential dialogue explains that these characters, ostensibly stuck in some kind of out-of-universe “void”, are simply trying to get the endings they deserve. What these “deserved endings” actually look like in practice is fewer than 10 lines of dialogue apiece – in Snipes’ case, mostly just repeating catchphrases from the first three Blade films – before they all drive out to a skirmish in the desert and get swallowed up by some kind of deadly CGI air monster. There’s no attempt at characterisation, no point behind the meta-joke. The insistence that audiences are for some reason gagging to see Reynolds’ Deadpool exchange one line of insipid banter with Tatum’s Gambit, is baffling. Audiences didn’t love Blade because Snipes just showed up, stood there and barked catchphrases – he was part of a story, with a proper character, and stakes, and intentionality. That Marvel cannot see the difference – or, even worse, if it can see the difference but chooses to ignore it – is surely damning.

I think you’ve gone too far if you’re using five dollar words in a Deadpool review, but maybe that’s just me

This movie has a lot but didn't move the whole MCU story along much. Really just another Fox movie. Still, I laughed a lot. The comic book accurate tiny Wolverine was funny AF.
Spoiler: show
Henry Cavill
Wolverine....that felt right.

The back and forth with DP and
Spoiler: show
Gambit
was hillarious, but that being said, I'd be on board with this
Spoiler: show
Gambit
getting his own movie.

Speaking of which, X23 needs her own movie as well. Hopefully she'll be part of the Young Avengers movie.

They fucked up with
Spoiler: show
Blade. He's a vampire, he don't age. Snipes didn't look great here.
The
Spoiler: show
Johnny Storm
bit was fun. Especially the post credit scene.

And they didn't quite explain the end very well in the movie, so I had to watch this to have it sussed out for me.

I thought for sure we'd get a reveal on who Lady Deadpool was. Disappointed there. And the fight with the
Spoiler: show
Deadpool Corps
was just there, fan service really.

Nice to see
Spoiler: show
Hulk
in there briefly.

The Cassandra skull fingering...that was disturbing to look at.

The big reveal that Cassandra had
Spoiler: show
a sling ring with 2 Infinity Stones
! That's a kind of a big deal and was just used to open the portal.

I expected to see
Spoiler: show
Xavier, Magneto, Storm, Scott and Jean in this. Xavier and Magneto got mentions, as did Punisher, Daredevil, Quicksilver.
Overall, didn't advance the MCU story much, so I don't see this as the Marvel savior it was meant to be.

Should anyone age? The void is outside of time.

The cameo fight was a bit lame, and the first DPvW fight was short.

But the second DPvW fight and the final fight were a ton of fun. I just don't understand what the bus was doing there.
For the sign with Stan on it.

Saw it earlier this afternoon. Just a fun, nostalgia-fueled flick. Isn’t meant to really be anything else. Enjoyed all the Wolverines and wished they’d had him in the “John Byrne brown” the whole movie. Jackman is finally looking old enough in the face to be convincing. Still too tall, tho. And the dog was great.

You should get a very short ban (~5 minutes) for this post. I curse you and fart in your general direction.

The name of the shoe store they crash into was a fun nod

I enjoyed the cameos and some moments but its was so boring and so unfunny.

Reminded me of my experience watching Barbie.

Gambit was fun and I liked his accent. That accent is hard to pull off.

The action is boring

Deadpool is once again the worst part of the movie.

Huge Jacketman was good.

Lot of weird rapey gay jokes.

A cynical and ugly movie.

This movie has surpassed The Passion of the Christ for highest grossing R rated film in America. The Wolverine is bigger than Jesus.

That cover did go hard. X-Men weren't doing too well back in the 80s.
