U Servin' Severance 2 Me?
haha...I'm only five minutes into ep. 1, and Adam Scott has already tried riffing a little.

So excited for season 2! This is a great show, but I hope the mysteries can be explained well.

On a recent NYT interview Stiller confirmed that they know how many seasons it will be and they have the ending. :heartbeat:

No, he specifically said he wasn't going to reveal the number of seasons in the interview. But he said they have it.

It felt like the delay from S1 to S2 took forever. Hopefully the next seasons come quicker.

Stiller attributes that to the writers' strike and some creative differences.

the interview is also in podcast form if you want to hear him lie.

I have a friend who worked on S2. It was, in fact, the strike. And it was some creative differences. And it was the budget. And it was the locations used. And it was Stiller's "perfectionism." And it was Patricia Arquette losing weight post strike after they'd already filmed stuff.

I actually fully believe him.

For some reason I had it in my head that the writer/creator said he envisioned/planned 3 seasons. But listening to other, recent interviews with him, it seems like maybe Severance was always a sort of "spec" thing and not intended to be a full show.

Stiller was the one who maybe said it could be a fully realized, multi-season thing. So, here we are.

Let’s all guess wildly about whom Joe knows on the production. I submit the actor who plays Rebeck, the woman who smells weird.

There's a great story my friend told me abut PA trying to match old footage....

She came in, after losing weight, post-strike, and Stiller was like, "Patty what the fuck?" and she ... and this is true ... said, I know what to do, and went full Brando! She put make-up sponges in her mouth to fill her face out and actually wanted to try to do scenes with her face stuffed.

The woman is a national treasure.
