A DeSantis/Tim Scott ticket in '24 would be strong for them, particularly if Newsom is up against folks more progressive than he is.

Unclear what you mean by "bluster" here. DeSantis is certainly more of a coherent (and less intuitively charismatic) speaker than Trump but his playbook is largely the same aggressively phrased culture war talking points.

If he runs against Cuomo, Yang might actually have a chance.

Are you referring to the Colorado state senator who's switching parties?

What’s the harm in admitting you thought it was a US senator

I did think that. Then I realized it wasn’t and decided not to change it. To use the post as kind of a litmus test

If a state senator introduces themselves in an ambiguous way in the presence of a US Senator, is the US Senator obliged to give them a swirly?

It was really important when Charlie Crist did it too.

This swirl around Fetterman is interesting. If the stroke damage is so severe he cannot participate in a 1-on-1 debate, meaning for all intents and purposes he would be unable to function as a Senator, what does it mean that Oz is still losing by double digits in some polls? Hard to imagine that red big wave is still alive if this is the case.

i saw on the news this morning a local station invited fetterman and oz to debate in October. assuming they think he should be recovered by then. refusing to debate is a really bad look, i think against any other opponent this would be a big deal. dr. oz is a joke and most people know it at this point.
