I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm not sure how many fans want to see Indiana Jones as a broken, helpless old man who cowers in the corner while his patronising goddaughter takes the lead, but that's what we're given, and it's as bleak as it sounds.

It only got a "lukewarm five minute standing ovation" at Cannes.

Plus at least another $100 million to market. They'll really need this to make close to a billion to make money.

Personally, I would be devastated if I ever received an ovation less than 7 minutes.
(I think measuring and reporting the lengths of ovations at film festivals is so stupid)

I’m pissed off.
Sat down for an Indy marathon last night. Wanted to watch a few episodes of the young Indy series. Couldn’t find it on the app at all.
Eventually found it. Pressed play.
Black screen comes up.

I haven't watched Young Indy since its original broadcast and while I watched them every week they were almost always a disappointment.

I remember watching it as a very small child and thinking, "what the fuck is this? Who is that annoying teenager?"

I’ve never seen any of them. If they’re already on D+ we may start it soon.

Feels like “bleak” is being overused a lot these days.

It's very apt here though.

I don’t see how even a shitty Indy movie could be bleak.
