I saw a Spin article this morning that said he was recovering from COVIDBi_3 wrote:Any mention of Matt or did he get the Dave A treatment?

He was an important member of the band at their commercial and arguably creative height.
Even visually, a lot of the 'classic' press photos and video footage of the band features Dave.
They've also frozen him out for decades in a way that seems (at least from the outside) undeserved, so people want to see them bury the hatchet to some limited degree.

And Eddie had the stomach flu?E.H. Ruddock wrote:I saw a Spin article this morning that said he was recovering from COVIDBi_3 wrote:Any mention of Matt or did he get the Dave A treatment?
Sure, but it'll also never end, nor is that fan dynamic in any way unusual from my experience with other bands.CopperTom wrote:I don't think it's hard to understand that it's never going to happen.Birds in Hell wrote:I don't it's that hard to understand.CopperTom wrote:Yes. Let's dive deeper today into Ed's weight here: http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=95596583UP wrote:100Birds in Hell wrote:I don't it's that hard to understand.CopperTom wrote:Yes. Ed looks wurst over time on this
and not just bc Ed is fat now
I'm struggling with processing the show from last night. It was show #75 for me and might have been the worst.Birds in Hell wrote:Josh is a barely adequate drummer (at best), so I hope they’ve got somebody else lined up for the show(s) if Matt’s out.
Did Ed look a little puffy or bloated in the face?logan5ive wrote:I'm struggling with processing the show from last night. The mix was terrible. We were front row of the floor seats, so in directly in between the stage and soundboard. I've sat in similar spots before but man, no bueno.
Ed was still getting over the flu; Mike seemed sick as well as he and Eddie were both drinking tea. Mike definitely went above and beyond, and Eddie did great considering the circumstances.
And no Matt due to covid. As soon as I saw the rumor on the Porch about Josh on drums...ugh. "Barely adequate" hit the nail on the head. I'm amazed at the praise heaped upon this show by some on Facebook and the Porch. I feel like we were at different shows. Josh supposedly knows the first 5 albums by heart? Could've fooled me. His performance felt like a band practice. Noticeable song starts were not hit. Half the endings of songs fell apart or were off. The middle of Satan's Bed was a trainwreck. The bootleg may be rough to listen to.
Kudos to Josh for filling in. A+ for effort. C- for execution.
Please, Matt, be there for the last 3 shows.
I sat in similar seats in St. Paul 1 and it sounded bad too. No stacks angled in that direction. A dead spot. It sounded much better the next night when I was in the seats.logan5ive wrote:I'm struggling with processing the show from last night. I thought Ed's poor appearance was more because the state of his hair, not his weight.Coach wrote:Let's dive deeper today into Ed's weight here: http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=95596583UP wrote:100Birds in Hell wrote:I don't it's that hard to understand.CopperTom wrote:Yes.
