yeah, they clearly practiced. they've sounded pretty good in general, really. my biggest impression the last couple shows was that it appears they are ALL having fun. maybe the difficulties of the last couple of tours have set in or something, and they've had a come to jesus moment, but i can't recall the whole band looking like they're actually having a good time and enjoying each other. at one point in this show (i think, maybe it was n1) ed and jeff were over by mike jamming together a bit and ed looked over his shoulder and waved stone over to join their little circle, which he did. stone especially has looked like he's been in the moment and enjoying his time on stage.

two more to go. we'll see if this love-in continues.

I got that vibe last year too. It truly seems like a new era of touring for the band.

yeah, they looked pretty happy both nights in FW.
