This is the exact face I made while watching Alien Covenant

Ugh my cat might have a thyroid problem. She's been losing weight even though she's eating well and exhibiting no other symptoms. Gotta run more tests. At least she doesn't look to be in any discomfort

Sorry, Jorge. Cat medical problems are sad and scary.

Sad day. Our old dog River passed away today.
He was at least 14, had a great long life, and had been struggling lately, so we knew it was probably close. Still doesn't make it easy.
I'm thankful for all the years we had with him, and especially the memories of him swimming in the lake and our recent trip to Wilderness Lodge.
RIP, River.

RIP River. Also this is the cat thread. But that's okay. RIP to a good boy

Any test results? Further weight loss?

Yes, it's not her thyroid. After a bunch of tests it was determined Dee Dee has:
- a lung infection (now being treated with antibiotics)
- feline asthma
and these factors are contributing to her weight loss. Her breathing is kinda messed up right now.
For the asthma, I have to administer an inhaler every day, and she HAAATES it. It's been awful. I feel like a traitor every time I put that mask on her because she's like "wtf, why are you doing this to me!" I am hoping she will get used to it and stop fighting it so much, because it's a daily heartbreak.
