I mean, part of "don't treat wait staff like trash" is that 1) they are likely poor / working class and struggling, 2) they are strangers, you don't employ them and have no previous history with them, so you have literally zero reason to feel any animosity towards them

I don't know if any of that's true for Ed's guitar tech

It's not good to publicly denigrate your subordinates no matter how much money is in their bank account

I don't think guitar techs are swimming in money anyhow

Not that employing someone permits one to treat another like gum on the bottom of their shoe, of course, but, yes, it's definitely a different dynamic.

I specified "Ed's guitar tech" because I assume he's in a better position than most guitar techs

I totally agree with your first point, I just don't think they're like for like comparisons; we wouldn't really feel any pity for either party if Ed had conflict with a band member

There's currently a person in the Judas Priest fan community getting themselves summarily banned from every subreddit, forum, discord, and Facebook group imaginable after apparently writing a series of disturbing letters to band members and publicly picking fights with producers and other members of the bands' inner circle over a former band member.

How many among us have done so, or would do so, for Dave A....HOW MANY?!?

While it happens for other bands and artists as well, but for PJ, the worst fans always seem very fixated on Ed.
