Goddamn. Two people trying to lug 9 suitcases doesn’t work so well

After 2 1/2 hours of waiting we’re finally in a cab on the way to the hotel. We booked a shuttle for 9:30 pm to pick us up. We followed their instructions and waited where we were supposed to. After an hour of waiting a 3 phone calls, our driver called me back and told me he decided to pick us up on the upper level instead of the lower level because traffic was too congested on the lower level. So we had to haul 9 suitcases and her and her wheelchair back up to the upper level where the shuttle awaited. As we started loading up he tried to start it and it wouldn’t start. After trying to figure out what he was going to do for a few minutes I decide to go around to the driver’s side of the van where he was and see what was going on. And he was gone! Nowhere to be found!! So I call the company back and try to figure out what the fuck is going on. They had no clue so we were just in limbo while they tried calling this dude. After about 15 minutes he shows back up on his cell phone and doesn’t say a word to us. He tries unsuccessfully to start it again then starts walking off in the other direction. Still not a word to us. So I call them back and they tell me something is wrong with the battery maybe. So I’m like do you not have someone else that can pick us up? They did not. But they set up two Lyft drivers to come pick us up. All we had to do was take the Uber/Lyft/taxi shuttle to the designated pickup area. So back downstairs we go with all that shut and catch the shuttle. The service texted us and asked that we text them back when we got there. So we did. They scheduled 2 Priuses to get us and they would be there in 20 minutes. There was no fucking way all this would fit in 2 Prisuses so I went over to the cat that was in charge of the taxi situation and said hey man, we got all this can you get us a van? He got on his walkie talkie and said hey I need a van. It was there in about a minute and we loaded up and are about 5 minutes out from the hotel. I called the service to cancel our reservation/Lyfts and he asked why I was canceling. I was like because it’s been 2 1/2 hours and you still haven’t picked us up yet. So he issued a refund. I’ve now been up for 21 hours and we have 8am reservations for breakfast.

I’m never gonna make it thru this…

Got here this morning. Glad my hotel is in north beach, I’m having a good time wandering into old school Italian places

Expanding my St Louis wedding trip to be a month-long US excursion to visit friends and family. So in October I'll be hitting Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, St Louis, Chicago, NYC, and Lake George. Aside from St Louis, these are all places I've visited before, but I'm very excited
