Where is everyone?

I thought this place would be jammed tonight after that

Maybe they're gathering themselves after the emotional mindbomb that is the video

Well, when I see Mike changing guitars and rip into that solo I get that feeling. And when Ed nails the high notes? There it is again. And when everyone is singing at the end? I can't help but smile.

I love that my favorite band is still releasing music that makes me feel this way.
Yes!! the part with all of them singing is nice...its a great great song.

One question. In the.flac, can you hear more clearly that killer Jeff´s bass line during the Mike solo?

He's running out of time... But I guess at least 3 of the remaining are his.

Hmmm, first impressions are that I liked it but probably only consider it Good at this stage, will need more listens to see if I think Great Song.

I was very apprehensive with the first 30 odd seconds. Really don't think much of it - seems very... I dunno..twee? Most commentors seem to agree that Ed's vocal is good on this one. Have to agree - clear and sounding strong where it needs to be. Definitely one of his better efforts for the last decade or so.

The first 2/3rds do have a vibe that this is their attempt at recreating the Just Breathe feel and adult contemporary audience (not that the songs are the same or that this isnt more of a full band effort, lets just say the apprehension didn't fully dissipate). I do love when Mike switches to electric, though, and the last minute with piano and group chorus isnt at all as annoying as I imagined and manages to still somewhat rise above the cheese so that I actually still enjoyed the climax.

Definitely a 3+ star song. How much that + is, will take some time for me.

Great first post and something that needed to be said thank you
Thanks... Believe me I was wondering Stones place on this album too. I'm a Stone guy. I love the whole band but I really dig his playing and songwriting. The video showed me how much of an footprint he left on this song.

This is my favourite of the bunch so far. And live this will be just fine.

But why did Mike get his delay so wrong in the video? That version has a few bumps from Mike, Matt and Boom. The video version has a better flow and peak to it. The studio version seems to flounder after the solo then it fights to get that momentum back. And Stone adds so much to this track.

4* (up from 3 yesterday)

Okay, got to watch the video again. It's a really good version. And the song definitely sounds better with the 10c download.

yeah, that's a really great shot when they're all lined up at the end.

Okay, I'm starting to get pretty into this song

I haven't paid attention to anything today. What's this talk of a video and a 10c download?

I didn't read through all of this but I think the lyrics say
