The city here does a great job prepping the little league fields, however they do it very early in the morning. When it’s 85+ all day the field just becomes a dust bowl by the time afternoon/evening games start.

That is all.

My son made his high school freshman baseball team. It’s a traditionally sports-competitive school so we were super nervous for him leading up to it. He had been cut or on the bubble with multiple travel teams and I always felt pretty bad about that because it reeked of dad ball politics I’m not a “jock dad” up in the coaches’ b-holes. Like if I had been a different kind of dad maybe he wouldn’t have had to eat a bunch of rejection. So let me tell you how vindicated I feel on his behalf now that dad coaches are off the table and lo and behold he makes the team and is solidly in the pitching rotation.

General consensus is very high on the Mariners this year and that makes me super nervous.

Please keep the Mariners talk out of doug's baseball stories thread.

But yeah it's gonna be hilarious when Raleigh hits 23 homeruns this year.
