I think the Ed is a dick stuff seems pretty overblown in the RR thread, and think this is pretty shitty.

Not that it's any excuse, but the girl appeared to be very underage and I think Eddie found that upsetting. She was flashing the band all night, trying to get their attention/distract them, and he finally had enough by this point in the show. Again, that's no excuse. He could have handled it a lot better. But it's kind of a "You want attention? You got it!" kind of situation.

Eddie was already in a foul mood because of something that happened backstage that night. I think there was a hassle with some of the venue staff and security. Sleater-Kinney made comments during their set about it. I think the reason that show was as good as it was, is because there was a dark cloud over the whole thing so the band played with aggression. That's why there were ugly moments like the intro to "Last Exit" and the mosquito bites thing.

A man telling a woman what she should or shouldn't be doing isn't anti-feminist?

I did say that he could have handled it better. I'm not making excuses for him. I'm just giving some background because I was there. This was not a typical PJ show. It was a very weird night all around, and it was a very small venue/crowd.
