i dunno. i've seen quite a bit of it (often out of order, although i saw most of the final season in the correct sequence) and my main takeaway is: 'wow, look at how badass this guy is. he does some pretty terrible stuff motivated both by his love for his family and by his lust for power.' are you telling me it's actually more interesting than that?tommymtcom wrote:Breaking Bad is excellent.Alex wrote:i've seen a handful of sopranos episodes. i have a feeling, deep in my bones, that it might be overrated. same goes for breaking bad.tommymtcom wrote:I've never seen the Sopranos past season 2.Alex wrote:then how do you explain your perfect taste in television?tommymtcom wrote:I'm also not ugly.Alex wrote:sorry, i've begun conflating the tommy and lenny accounts to the degree that i'm now assuming tommy is also poor

my old roommate loved it, as well as nearly every friend who came to visit us, so it would often be showingtommymtcom wrote:Yes.Alex wrote:i dunno. i've seen quite a bit of it (often out of order, although i saw most of the final season in the correct sequence) and my main takeaway is: 'wow, look at how badass this guy is. he does some pretty terrible stuff motivated both by his love for his family and by his lust for power.' are you telling me it's actually more interesting than that?tommymtcom wrote:Breaking Bad is excellent.Alex wrote:i've seen a handful of sopranos episodes. i have a feeling, deep in my bones, that it might be overrated. same goes for breaking bad.tommymtcom wrote:I've never seen the Sopranos past season 2.Alex wrote:then how do you explain your perfect taste in television?tommymtcom wrote:I'm also not ugly.Alex wrote:sorry, i've begun conflating the tommy and lenny accounts to the degree that i'm now assuming tommy is also poor
Can I ask why you would watch episodes of a TV show out of order? Do you watch random 15 minute chunks of movies as well?
that's just the shock of seeing your favorite show flippantly encapsulated by somebody who doesn't care about it. you'll get over it.BurtReynolds wrote:I've never been more ashamed of you than right now.Alex wrote:i dunno. i've seen quite a bit of it (often out of order, although i saw most of the final season in the correct sequence) and my main takeaway is: 'wow, look at how badass this guy is. he does some pretty terrible stuff motivated both by his love for his family and by his lust for power.' are you telling me it's actually more interesting than that?tommymtcom wrote:Breaking Bad is excellent.Alex wrote:i've seen a handful of sopranos episodes. i have a feeling, deep in my bones, that it might be overrated. same goes for breaking bad.tommymtcom wrote:I've never seen the Sopranos past season 2.Alex wrote:then how do you explain your perfect taste in television?tommymtcom wrote:I'm also not ugly.Alex wrote:sorry, i've begun conflating the tommy and lenny accounts to the degree that i'm now assuming tommy is also poor

I'm sorry. I'm not giving you much to work with here.Kaius wrote:YesAlex wrote:hey kaius, have you ever seen frasier?
frasier is the second-best television show of all time. considering people are saying that about breaking bad all the time, i assume it's code for "it's a pretty good show."Kaius wrote:I'm sorry. In its heyday, I had only ever watched it if I stumbled upon it while channel surfing. My wife, however, is a fan of Frasier, so we have watched a few episodes together. So although I am familiar with the characters, I have not really done more than dip my toes in the water.
