yeah it seems like on the labels both say 'Alternate mix'.
Is that supposed to be rare or common or what?

Beautiful triple-gatefold packaging, thick-ass records and then buried in one sleeve...
You find this pathetic little lyric book. WTF?

As far as I know, every one of them printed so far has that mistake. I submitted it to Discogs and no one has ever said there's anything different.

I thought the same thing about the lyric book!

mcis- do you know if you got a us or euro pressing? you'll want to check zero for distortion like mine has.

I think Americana had a bigger lyric book.

Just listened to it... definitely some distortion in the vocal. But isn't that in the original recording? I have HD flacs, I'll have to compare those later.

I know this pressing was mastered for vinyl but I don't find it as good as the Pisces reissue. it may just be the dense-ness of the songs themself. I'm only on side-C....

is there barely any dead wax? it seems the us pressings have barely any and the euro ones have plenty of space, and its the euro ones that don't have the distortion. so some people think its igd, some think its a faulty press, and no one has a real answer.

I'll be waiting a few hours for this soup to thaw. Perfect evening for a full listening session of Decade. Strat, if you spent more time in the used bins, you might come across this gem for a dozen bucks.

No used bins in town, buddy :(

Next trip to Denver.

In May I'll need a list of record stores in St. Louis. Get on that, team.

Would record store discussion be suited for this thread or should I start a new one? If I could get verbal assurance from the major players in this thread that a record store thread would be a good idea, I may just start one by the end of the week.

I actually like the idea of making a new thread. +1

I'll always regret not making it to those record stores in Boston. I just didn't have time. It would have been hell carrying records through the woods of New Hampshire, though.

If you make a separate threat then people will pos about records they got or stores they know about in whatever of the two threads they see first.

This shoul be the all encompassing record thread. Gear. Stores. Albums etc

Fair point. I'll take that into consideration.

We could make the other thread a template-driven one, and endlessly mock anyone who breaks the rules. Or we could just use the template in this thread. Make it so every post looks like this:

Record Store Name:

Location/Adress:

You'll Like This Store If You Like:

Skip This Store If You're Looking For:

Other Notes:

Other good categories could be 'Price Range' and 'Best Find.'
