Watching the Metro dvd from 1994, i think it was issued along the SD reissue...its very very good. Sounds awesome...Disarm is such a good version...so small and at the same time is fucking huge.

What a band.

I know its a hugely unpopular opinion, but Bullet With Butterfly Wings is still my favorite TAFH single (1979 follows closely). It doesn't matter to me that they're all covers. They sound amazing. Their version of Clones is so monumentally badass that it takes my breath away.

"Blew Away" is still trash but "The Boy", "Take Me Down" and "Go" are solid James Iha tracks. I'm obviously feeling brave.

Blew Away is better than Go.

I forgot Go was even a song. Blew Away I could at least hum.

The actual instrumentation and production behind Go absolutely crushes that of Blew Away.

C'mon, the production on most of Machina II is like shit under my fingernails.

Agreed. The production ruins certain songs while propping up others, though. Gonna have to agree to disagree here. Go is simply a better track to me.

In reality I don't have many strong opinions on this issue. Iha's tunes wouldn't touch a top 50 SP song list from yours truly.

The non album material on the Tonight Tonight single is the most insipid nonsense this band ever committed to DAT.

Agreed. Its basically awful. Re: Zero single. Pistichio being so inaccessible hurts its overall rating to me. How much is that a factor in your obvious lauding of?

I sort of put the Medley to one side. My consideration is based on actual songs like Pennies, God and Mouths.

Right on. Mouths is top 20 to me, which is obviously pretty big dick material.

"Galapogos" isn't as strong a track as I remembered. I used to think pretty highly of it, even placing it in the top tier of MCIS. Its not that good. Is that a weird opinion?

Middle tier.
