i think i've posted this before, but Bleed slowed down 20% is incredible. actually there seems to be a whole slew of Meshuggah songs slowed down on youtube.
Guessing there's a leak of this or something? How are you guys listening to this already? Was hoping to find it on Spotify, but I see Amazon says it doesn't come out until 4/30.mf wrote:also i'm gonna go ahead and give the nod to the Ocean for my favorite album of 2013 so far. this just keeps getting better and i haven't even heard the vocal version yet.
Spin is streaming the instrumental version so there are a few leaks from that stream around - http://www.spin.com/articles/the-ocean- ... s-pelagialWatch The Flames wrote:Guessing there's a leak of this or something? So the new Intronaut has really grown on me this week. It started with A Sore Sight for Eyes and the rest seems to be coming together around that song for me. Glad i gave this one a chance to grow.clavian wrote:Interestingly, the first time I listened to the new Intronaut was with headphones (as is my usual custom for highly anticipated music), and I was left wanting. I have a decent set of 'phones, but the album didn't seem to have the space it needed to breathe. I've listened to it several more times on my stereo and I'm enjoying it more and more each time. Another listen over headphones is probably in order now that I've peeled back some of the layers...it's definitely a grower.mf wrote:The Ocean are great, but can be a bit hit-or-miss at times. Definitely worth the investment though.clavian wrote:Nice, thanks for posting that Ocean link. I've heard some of their stuff here and there, but I need to sit down and dig into them a bit.
Anyone enjoying the new Intronaut? I'm not sure I like it as much as Valley of Smoke, but it is still a very good album. Lots of layers.
Anciients are a new band out of Vancouver that I've been hearing more and more about lately. Their debut comes out later this month, and they are streaming it on Bandcamp. On first listen: no way this is only their first record. I'm going to be listening to this one for a long time!
I listened to the new Intronaut a couple of times and thought it was ok. Need more time with it i suspect. with headphones.
I haven't sat down to absorb Entrench yet. I enjoyed KEN Mode's last few albums though, so I'll definitely get around to it before too long.

Yep. Both are solid! I've only listened to the new Uncle Acid twice, but I loved their 2 previous albums. Haven't checked out the new Kvelertak yet, but those guys are always a fun listen.intodeep wrote:I got turned onto a couple bands this weekend i dig.
Uncle Acid & the Dead Beats and Kvelertak
anyone else listen to them?

I only have Blood Lust by Uncle Acid. Its good enough i know i'll grab the newer one soon. I'll have to hunt down the first one i have not seen it on any of my usual sites yet.

They played a 20 minute set for NZ Music Month. Check it out.Heathen wrote:

Started listening to this album on bandcamp and found out halfway in that only the first side was available for streaming. I'm so blueballed right now. If you like stoner/doom and RIFFS you might want to track this one down.

that is awesomemf wrote:contender for best promo pic EVER?
