The Alex Pettyfer episode was weird. Some strange tension going on.

Damn, they just put up a 2-hour episode with Quentin Tarantino. I'm not really a QT fan but I'm pretty excited for this one.

Oh man, Tarantino's voice sounds so much like Richard Kind in this interview and it's really distracting me. :haha:

Having an encyclopedic knowledge of film history doesn't mean much when you have nothing interesting to say about it.

Aw huh

My wife and I were talking about QT and Spike Lee the other night. We both agreed that QT has a cinematic voice but he just has nothing to say.

Right. He is athematic and apolitical to a degree that renders his aesthetic meaningless.

And that becomes clearer after Inglorious Basterds...or maybe with that movie. Until then, i was on the fence on that one.

But you see a movie like Django...and its just a greatest hits. Thats it.

This is the most we've ever agreed on anything and it's giving me a boner. I never want to lose this feeling.

I'm going to use this criticism in every conversation I have about QT moving forward.  :heartbeat: :heartbeat:

Well i love that episode. Those two guys are so fkin smart and talented, the conversation was as good as expected.

One thing that strikes me, It seems quentin is only going to do two more movies and quit. That idea would have terrified me as a kid, and right now i feel its fine...In the same podcast he says something about "outgrow" your idols, maybe thats whats happening to me? Because i hated Django and never watched it again, and IB was cool but thats it....Maybe i reached to a point were i really like him but im more interesed in whats his doing for cinema (keeping kodak alive, doing a western in 70mm), that his movies..
