Tobias Jesse Jr "Goon" is pretty decent

Strat, check it out, seems like it'd be up your alley

I kept forgetting that this was coming out over the last couple of months, but I'm listening to the album in full for the first time today: Zu - Cortar Todo out now via Ipecac. I don't know that it will have any staying power with me, but right now it's pretty damn good. It'll probably end up like any other Zu album; good for when I want to be crushed by free-jazz math metal with a freaking bass saxophone.

"Rudra Dances Over Burning Rome"

"Cortar Todo"

I'm not really even sure what else is on the horizon for me this year. Die Antwoord MIGHT have a new one, but that could very likely be 2016. Hmm. I can't think of any other groups I'm into that have something on the way.

I quite enjoyed Mark Knopfler's new one, Tracker, which I spun a few times this weekend. Apparently much was written whilst touring with Dylan and some of that seems to have rubbed off. Posting from my phone at the mo but will link to 'River Towns' when back in front of a pc.

I honestly can't recall why I even decided to give it a spin, but I'm glad that I did.

His last was pretty dull but there were a couple on the Emmylou Harris album he did that were really cool..

I saw him in 2008 and fell asleep. I think it's the only gig I've ever fell asleep in. Slightly jetlagged but still :shake:

 Yeah, that's certainly not the best recommendation there!

It's quite a pretty record, though there's certainly some ripping off of his own Dire Straits stuff on it as well. Even that samey stuff is pretty good here though too.

Sleeping at a concert... :shake:
