So turns out this is literally an 'un-master' by 'BrickwallHater':

I know it may seem a bit early for a remaster of this album, but this one was brickwalled enough that it bothered me, so now, enjoy a TRUE AUDIOPHILE'S WET DREAM!!!

That bottom waveform doesn't look like an audiophile's wet dream, the top one does though!!

Remember to do the right thing and buy the album and support the artist and label for their great work too.

i absolutely LOVE the breakdown in the middle. but that ranking is more of a reflection of how great the other songs are.

Hey, I finally heard Let It Happen and it's quite good.

I made another post, now deleted, where I cued the album up on Spotify and gave it a cursory listen. My thoughts were very positive but I ended up wanting to walk back my initial enthusiasm as the album went on, I thought it dragged a bit in the middle. I'll certainly be giving it further listens.

It's quite strange going back to Innerspeaker after listening to Currents so much in recent weeks.

While I think the new album probably has some of their strongest tracks (Let It Happen is still #1 for me), I would rank them thus:

There's something about the synth sounds and underlying feel of Yes I'm Changing that really reminds me (in a slightly left-of-centre way) of Angelo Badalamenti's Twin Peaks/Julee Cruise material, a combination of all of these:





I may be wildly off-base but regardless it's a great song.
