But most of my friends drank Bud Light. So, in a pinch, that's the one I'd reach for, too.
What a twink! Just kidding.

Bud Light & Busch Light are pretty close together, as far as watery light beers go.

Oh, I imagine.

There was also a lot of Natty Lite and PBR floating around. But I refused to touch those fuckers. Miller Light, even a Michelob Ultra or two. Can't believe I'm admitting this publicly, but there you go.

Fuckit...I drink a lot more craft beers and whiskeys now that I have actual money. But if I'm throwing down with buddies on a Friday night, Bud & Busch Light do the trick.

I'll admit it publicly with ease...however, I think I might be more white trashier than you are.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I just don't even understand the concept of light beer. Jorge had a great post on the old board - or maybe Facebook? - about the absurdity of light beer that I loved.

Light beer is generally not consumed for taste. But, rather, for long drinking sessions where the goal is to drink a lot of it and never really pass the "buzzed" stage. Or, you're just in college and that's just what you buy.

Furthermore, its also not detrimental (and can possibly augment) to your golf game. In particular, ice cold Coors Light cans every hole (or every other hole) on the golf course is a good thing.

spenno may need to visit the beer thread if thats his impression of american beer drinking.

Also, at my college, the cheap readily available beer wasnt Busch Light, or Natty or the Beast. It was Icehouse for some reason.

Well...judging a 19-20 yearold's alcoholic beverage of choice I think is a bit ridiculous, no matter the nationality. For as long as it's existed, I'm guessing, young men have wanted to drink more than they should and to doing it within their means means they're buying cheap easily consumable beer.

Now a man in his mid-30s with a stable career...I'm guessing no matter where you're looking is going to have more refined tastes than a college sophomore.

I drink light beer probably once every 2 months now...going to a football game or what have you.

I think I'm more mystified why anyone would drink a light beer at any time ever. Why does this product even exist? Consider me baffled.

Cheap & easily consumable. Eating cats is against the social mores where I'm from, but it's not baffling to the people that do.

Sometimes it really is quantity over quality. Like in college.

It's not really baffling. Any product that man can think of, someone will deface with a cheaper, blander alternative.

I feel like it should be obvious which one is which, but I'm at a loss.
