Eh. It could be, or it could be a sign that they casting people are finally able to get some good names. Though I would have rather anyone other than Dafoe in that role. He just looks so flat, especially with that God damn man bun shit.
Heard someone ranting today that it’s subpar mindless shit like this making massive amounts of money, that’s holding that genre and cinema in general back.

I’m willing to bet it’s the Russian troll farm effect as we saw with Star Wars.
I know some militantly obsessed pop music fans and they’d hurt you if you said a bad word against whoever it is. They would not go to these lengths though
