watched this show on a binge last week. Why? I don't know.
I guess for the same reason I've watched 'Roadies'. I just like stories about 'rock N roll', even when they are bad.

Although vastly different, the problems with 'Vinyl' and 'Roadies' were the same.
I want to watch a show about good ol' Rock & Roll! Not about people falling in love with each other, marital problems or even a f#cking murder plot. I don't care about that shit at all. They call it character development. Sure, but maybe I don't want character development in every show. Especially not when it's about 'rock N roll'. That Richie character was a fine vehicle to every cool story Mick Jagger told the writers. I'm pretty sure Mick did not told them that he also needed to be a troubled family man or be involved in a murder plot. Or that he needed to solve his daddy issues in order to get an alibi....I don't care.

Did Fox Mulder ever had marital issues? No it was a simple show about aliens and people loved it.
Nowadays execs make so many tv shows way too complicated. It does not serve every show (True Detective S2..... )

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
