That was awesome by the way. What a band really. And their relationship and vibe is bonkers. J is a really weird dude, but what a talent.

Murph also seems like a very odd dude.

New album is good. Its better than the last two but its still behind Beyond, Farm and I Bet On Sky

I think I've figured out my "issue" with this band, and it has to do with too much consistency. I like the band's sound plenty, but apart from a handful of albums in their original era, there are absolutely no surprises from album to album.

Again, not knocking the band really. It's a sound I like a lot, but I've always had trouble really getting excited about Dino Jr. and the predictability is probably why.

Yes i agree with that, specially the last two albums were while they were fine; there wasnt a specific song i loved. It was fine.

Probably my favorite is Beyond because they do change a bit.

But they kinda are like The Ramones of this part of the sonic hemisphere

The last Dinosaur Jr song I truly loved was Back To Your Heart. That came out nineteen years ago.

For me its the two pack combo of Dont Pretend You Didnt Know and Watch The Corners

I saw the band two years ago and J was reading/singing all of his lyrics off cards at the front of the stage - it was pretty depressing.

Listened to most of the new one today. I get it sounds similar to basically every one of their albums, but it’s not a bad place to be.

If there's 1 or 2 keepers I'm happy.

If I want to listen to DJ then I'm heading way back though.

I agree that they can be a bit samey, which holds them back a bit. Saw them this weekend. Great shows. I'm pretty sure they have more fans under 30 than PJ
