Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
Just a quick recap we've got rumors for US Apri/May, Europe in June and the back to the States in the summer (Fenway Park and west coast have been mentioned). It's almost like Pearl Jam is going to pretend to be a real band again. I just hope if they're touring this hard that there's a new, decent, record to go along with it.

Guys, the SA tour seems to be a really fucking good one. The band is on fire...If they decide to embark on long tour, ill consider to see them again next year.

Yeah, I've watched a few YouTube videos and they seem on point. Ed in particular sounds better than he has in years.VinylGuy wrote:Guys, the SA tour seems to be a really fucking good one. The band is on fire...If they decide to embark on long tour, ill consider to see them again next year.

I've said it the last three years. I feel like he is more comfortable with what he can and can't do. '08-'12 was like him figuring it out.numbers wrote:I feel like people say that about Eddie every tour.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yeah, I've watched a few YouTube videos and they seem on point. Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
I felt like he sounded alot better at the show I saw in 2010 than he did the two shows I saw in 2013, but the 2010 one was the end of a tour and the 2013's were the beginning.Monkey_Driven wrote:I've said it the last three years. My evidence is anecdotal at best.numbers wrote:I felt like he sounded alot better at the show I saw in 2010 than he did the two shows I saw in 2013, but the 2010 one was the end of a tour and the 2013's were the beginning.Monkey_Driven wrote:I've said it the last three years. I think he's either quit smoking or really toned it down, and he doesn't seem to be getting completely smashed at every show as well.Monkey_Driven wrote:My evidence is anecdotal at best.numbers wrote:I felt like he sounded alot better at the show I saw in 2010 than he did the two shows I saw in 2013, but the 2010 one was the end of a tour and the 2013's were the beginning.Monkey_Driven wrote:I've said it the last three years. I honestly think the band figured out that they sounded like complete shit a lot of the time for several years, and has set about to make sure that doesn't happen anymore. They've really turned it up a notch the last couple of years, and I'm really enjoying it.

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
I don't think Ed's voice wasn't ready in 2013 to play 26 shows in a 2 month period like they used to do. I think the photo rollingstone posted and the band posted after the last 2013 show in seattle where he was just sitting there physically and mentally exhausted told that story pretty well. He sounded much better in 2014, especially the Midwest leg.

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
From the show i saw this year, Ed was physically impecable. Not only did he run like a maniac, but also jumped, play guitar, stayed focus and sang...But he seemed to know where to push it and how in terms of his singing. They did a 3 hour set and it felt really focused and tight.

That sounds good. Maybe he has been doing the Springsteen exercise regime. That guy is a machine.VinylGuy wrote:From the show i saw this year, Ed was physically impecable. Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
I think he was also blowing it out too early in shows by pushing it a lot. I listened to a bunch of those shows making a mix and Ed would typically sound very good during the main set and terrible in the encores. This was definitely the case at the Portland show; he sounded incredible during the main set, but his voice was gone by RVM. He had almost nothing left at the end of the show.lowlight79 wrote:I don't think Ed's voice wasn't ready in 2013 to play 26 shows in a 2 month period like they used to do. A Toronto radio station said the tour will be announced on December 4.

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
There's a Spanish article saying the same. Lots of Euro tours have been announced early December the last 10 years, mostly because that coincides with major festivals releasing their headliners.
