They will annouce that I lost all my selections a week before the general sale

Conversation this morning...

Me: "Pearl Jam announced a show at Wrigley Field in July, and there's going to be a fall tour as well."
Wife: "Do they have a new album?"
Me: "No, unless they surprise release one before then."
Wife: "So, it's the same tour that we saw 4 years ago?"
Me: :-? ........ "Yes."

Eh. As ive stated before - a lot of it is my fault for seeing them so many times but the shows are becoming predictable.

they have a outline for setlists, no doubt, but thats totally different than seeing "the same show"

It's probably just wishful thinking but I do see a possibility where an album comes out in early July if they finish it in March/April.

No?

I think I'm going to preference...

1. Lower Bowl
2. GA
3. Upper Bowl

Anyone been to a show at Wrigley and have suggestions?

i actually think they've been more aware of putting rare songs in the setlists recently

As I said earlier in the thread, at least for the Springsteen show, getting on the field was a nightmare. Hopefully it won't be like that this time, but prepare for a possible clusterfuck. It's an old-ass stadium with only a few ways to get in/out.

I saw the Police there with lower bowl seats but all the way across the field from the stage and the sightlines weren't the greatest. Again old-ass stadium, so understand it's not optimal for a rock concert.

All this to say: the closer probably the better.

For me its just not enough. Again - This is my fault for seeing them too many times.

However, i dont think playing the same rotation of 30 songs and throwing in 1 rare one (ghost) on occasion is putting on a special show anymore. The last 3 years have been catered to trying to make them the biggest singalong/party band in the world. its just became stale for me.

Still have fun and all but its nothing special anymore.

Would be much more excited about this and the tour if there was actual new music to support it.

I'll flip GA and Lower then. Hope I get lucky.

you'd make a stronger point if you didnt exaggerated so much

This is a view from the top of the stadium at Wrigley. If this was my seat (and not being a 10C member, it could be) and the band was somewhere near center field I'm not sure this would be a worthwhile thing.

Me: It's different, there is no opening band.
Evil Girlfriend: Do they have a new album out?
Me: No
Evil Girlfriend: So it's the same tour we saw 3 years ago

Yes as cool of a novelty it is to see a concert in a ballpark, in practice it basically sucks.

See my post on the previous page . . .

I've sat in most of the sections of seats for many Wrigley concerts, and can definitely say that you're better in the upper box seats (particularly over 1st and 3rd bases) than in the middile or back of the floor or in the lowers.
