I'm as outraged as anyone about the way this went down but I'm a little disturbed that some of you seem to have concluded Avery had nothing to do with this. Just because the prosecution didnt prove their case doesnt mean Avery was home reading the Bible or something that day.

Avery isn't smart enough or charismatic enough to pull off this crime or be part of some bigger conspiracy. he's a creep, he's a loser, he's uneducated....but that doesn't make him a murder. To much shady evidence, too many inconsistencies int he crime scene.....this guy is just not smart enough to pull it off.

On top of all that, is he smart enough to remain this consistent this entire time? They have every phone call he's ever made recorded. He's always maintained his innocence. He's never (that we know of) changed his story. He's actively doing research and learning about the law in order to free himself. I don't know. He's no saint. The man lit a fucking cat on fire. And ran his sister off the fucking road and pointed a gun at her.

I'm not saying that SA isn't perhaps capable of murdering someone. But the extreme lack of evidence against him, the plethora of evidence that supports the defenses case, his IQ, and his staunch stance from day one, his willingness to help the police in the beginning... I really don't see how he's guilty of this crime.

None. But, it didn't matter - she was married to a local cop. He didn't deny doing this either, btw. He specifically said he was tired of her spreading bad words around town about him.

I rewatched the first 2 eps last night. And, I'm even more convinced of his innocence.

On top of the things you mentioned a few posts ago, his life was really getting better. He was basically a celebrity - politicians were seeking him out. He had a huge lawsuit that was really just taking off. They were less than 2 weeks (?) away from deposing the sheriff and ADA for the wrongful conviction. And, then boom, Teresa is murdered.
