I'm mostly hesitant because my ignorance will be shown once and for all. I love the sport so much, but I'm a complete dunce when it comes to the nitty gritty. Still, if you guys need a player and it's just for fun, I might join (the RM league.) I have, what, roughly a month to study up?

Everyone shows their baseball ignorance their first time playing fantasy baseball, there's no way around it. Fortunately, fantasy baseball is the best way to cure that ignorance. And I can't stress enough how perfect this RM league is for an introduction to it.

Also, when you're at a sports bar some random summer night and they have the ESPN game on between two teams you never before cared about, you all of a sudden have something at stake.

I had Cueto and Brandon Philips my first year and I became super excited when there'd be a nationally televised Reds game.

Excellent! I'm already pretty excited for the season, mostly because I have a chance to see every AL team at MMP this season. This will make that experience even more interesting, like you said.

playing fantasy baseball makes you a much, much more knowledgeable baseball fan. All of a sudden you know quite a bit about players you probably would have never heard of otherwise.

I know I'm new, but I have a humble suggestion for the RM League. Would you guys be interested in drafting home ballparks on the side this season? Or do we already do that?
