I think the (2017) in the thread title is and has been a mistake. Justice League is coming out this year, but Batman has always been scheduled to come out after that.

It was never realistic that the guy directing a Batman movie would also be the star. How the hell is he supposed to direct in a 100 lb Batman suit?

I guess it was too much for Ben. Specially after his new movie was a bomb at the box office.
Im thinking this DC universe is falling apart quite quickly, If JL is a disaster they might reboot the whole thing after Aquaman.

I'm pretty heartbroken over how this DC stuff has gone down.

Yeah, its weird..they had a pretty cool flick with Man Of Steel, then did BVS and all of sudden everything was kinda fucked up. Suicide Squad made tons of money but it sucked and they still didnt know what to do.

It doesnt look good for JL, The Flash can get a proper script and now The Batman seems so far away...

They destroyed themselves when they lost confidence and started questioning their filmmakers. They betrayed what made them interesting.

Agreed.

They listen to the mediocre fanboys. Its incredible how people think BVS is crap while applaud something as mediocre as Dr Strange, calling it visuals as mindblowing.

Collider dot com has a poll up for who should direct this movie now that Affleck is out. David Fincher is winning the poll. Now, I love David Fincher. And if he's gonna take on a superhero film/character, Batman makes all the sense in the world to me. But I just don't see Finch jumping on board. Does WB need a big name A-lister to take over this project?

I wonder if, when this is all said and done, Affleck will back out of scribe duties as well. This is such a weird story.

I just listened to that. Hilarious. I can't imagine being so invested in this thing that you'd get THAT upset about it. I was laughing like an idiot the whole time.

Me too. Total fanboi archetype having a melt down the realising he has to be professional.
In his defence they have covered this story since day one and as it's gone on he's been more and more WTF??? About it.

But his meltdown last night was genuine. Whatever it was.

Im still shocked but how Dc is doing this stuff...The Flash movie is a disaster, Batman loses its main creative force, things dont look good for JL...Is Wonder Woman the only one of these that hasnt suffered re shoots, or that stuff?

I was just going to post this. I've seen a lot of "unnamed inside sources" who say the thing is a disappointment and WB is freaking out. Could all be bullshit. Who knows. But...
