Just saw Joe Machi live. Jesus Christ it was like the funniest set I've ever seen. Guy is a monster.

I like Tom Segura. Completely Normal is on Netflix.

wow, that was painful. I hope that there is a different Joe Machi out there.

I watched Todd Barry's Crowd Work Tour video last night (Louis C.K. was originally selling it through his site, but now it's on Netflix). That was pretty funny. I don't think there's anything in there especially memorable, but it was pretty short and worth a look.
Then I watched a Mike Birbiglia set from a few years ago, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend. I had seen some of these jokes before, but one line really stood out to me. He was talking about why he didn't believe in marriage and he said something about how "I'm going to be miserable the rest of my life--why would you want to be a part of that?" I like him.

That's really not representative of where he is now. The material in that video is the weakest I've ever seen from him. He had some of the transitions and delivery down, but none of the substance. He's also much, much darker when not on Last Comic Standing. His opening joke at the show I went to involved graphic descriptions of what Jeffrey Dahmer did to his victims, and it was like the funniest shit I've ever heard.

Morgan Murphy on Netflix is killing me. So funny.

Stumbled across this on youtube. Pretty interesting listen. It's long, but you can play it like a podcast

Paul F. Tompkins' new special was good, though not my favorite from him. It was on Comedy Central last weekend, so I'm sure it'll be replayed late most Saturday nights for a while.

Anthony Jeselnik's new Netflix special is pretty meh. Shock comedy is really only good with a decent set-up and delivery. I find most of what he does to not be particularly clever and kinda tedious. It's way more "Family Guy" than "South Park".

My parents were super excited to see the new Amy Schumer HBO special, and it was pretty funny for a couple of minutes, until she went into a long, tedious bit about cum. That was too much for them and they changed the channel.
