Rumors are rumors. We heard the same thing about BvS and it was right, and the same thing about Rogue One and it was wrong.
interesting point about the movie mostly being finished prior to the Suicide Squad release/panic, though.

OMG shut up about BVS, you dummies. If you think it's messy that's one thing. If you think it was fucked up by the studio or somehow compromised, you are a dork.

I do think it was messy. I do not think it was on purpose by the studio. That's just stupid.

I dont think its ever "on purpose" by the studio. Its just too many people putting their hands on someones art because there is too much money on the line and fuck this movie was bad but not as bad as suicide squad and the lack of punctation and a run on sentence is kind of like how BVS felt

It was very clearly a pure vision by Snyder. I don't think you can blame it on "too many hands" outside of a few relatively minor elements.

It was a bloated vision then. And i dont believe that was his intent. I do believe studio had its hand in it. There's no way it wouldnt

If anything, I think BVS feels like Snyder at his most untethered, and least interfered-with. He had a trial run with Man of Steel, where the studio seemed to keep the reins on him a bit, but after that made shitloads of money, they let him go wild. Hence the "bloat" you refer to. It happens often when directors are allowed a lot of freedom. I tend to love it.

You obviously have a better grasp on Snyders career and the studios involvement here so i wont argue that! Though, the fact that they are trying to rival Marvel here and shoehorn all these characters into the films......
I think that was the downfall and makes it obvious that Snyder had to make concessions in story telling.

Yeah, for sure. That was the element I was alluding to, setting up all the Justice League crap. In my opinion (and only mine), it's the movie's sole weakness.

The absolute worst parts of BvS, the parts that even its most ardent apologists will decry, are the two sequences that are completely extraneous to the narrative: the Flash vision (immediately after the "Knightmare") and Wonder Woman clicking through Quicktime files. If I had to guess which scenes came from studio notes, I'd say those were it
