And it's full tilt R and really earns it.
Awesome - thanks

40+ mins... its hilarious, and a tad sad knowing youre not going to get Hugh, Patrick, and Ian all together much, if ever again since Hugh and Patrick said this is probably the last time.
I still think if Singer comes to them with one last idea/movie for the original cast theyd all jump at it.

I think Logan is a fine farewell to Hugh and Patrick. Ian had one with DOFP. they are done, and its ok.
Im just dying to see Logan btw.

Reportedly, Jackman has said if Marvel ever gets the rights back to the X-stuff, he would play Wolverine in as many movies as they would want him to.

Singer is devoid of ideas though so that's not going to happen.

Just saw it.
Well, its pretty emotional for sure. And i liked what they did with the Old Man Logan storyline..Jackman is amazing in this..so is Stewart and the kid...Still i wish it was more cinematic...there is barely a classic sequence, a good shot, a breathtaking frame.
I was kinda letdown by that.

you didn't like the very last shot? the wooden cross? eerrrr..... X
That really hit me, I can see why Hugh and Patrick both say theyre done while Patrick isn't as firm as Hugh is) but that final shot really was a great final breathtaking frame for their X-careers
There was no post credit scene BTW, but there was a pre-movie scene Deadpool that was hilarious, and I'm glad it wasn't AFTER the movie. The movie ends on such a down note, putting that in the post credits wouldn't feel right, and I know the director does not like the post credit scenes.
- Spoiler: show
- that being said... I really wanna know whos in Canada? the voice on the radio ALMOST sounded like Halle Berry. But it could also be Cable/Deadpool setting up X-Force or who knows what. I wanna know who was in Canada! I also wish they would have given a flash back of what, Xavier/Wolverine did in Westchester. It was a nice nod to the comics and I figured they were going to have Xavier do the Mysterio roll, but for the people that did not read the Old Man Logan comic, they only got these vague mentions of something happening. You didn't even need all the original actors, just shoot it in a dream sequence, keep it hazy, shoot everyone from behind. White hair Storm, blue furr Beast so on

The last frame was beautiful yes. But thats about as cinematic it gets.
- Spoiler: show
- I really loved how separate this was from the x men movies...just a few hints about the first one and thats it...just a fuckin standalone movie..im so burnt out with the whole universe thing it was refreshing not to have a nod about a fuckin sequel.

- Totally agree, I almost in away love that Fox has almost just given up on the timelines and explanations. I know from an interview for The Wolverine, Mangold LOVED that that movie was a stand alone. Its almost too bad theyre not going to make a 3rd movie together, I think Mangold really started to understand Wolverines world in this movie. I don't know what else they could have done cinematically to make it more beautiful? The desert is just... not that appealing? It did have a very similar look to the Old Man Logan comics though.

I feel pretty confident that Hugh isn't quitting Wolverine for artistic reasons. Staying in that kind of shape is too much effort at this point on his life. He's been bitching about it for years.

I feel pretty confident that we'll see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine again after Logan.
