I went in with an open mind and low expectations.
They just are not that good anymore. Dave's antics are predictable and self absorbed.
It took him 20 minutes just to intro the band, with some very scripted banter about each member's ability to solo.
at 2 hr in, he made some speech how the foo fighters don't do encores, and at about this time he likes to get things loose. he asked the crowd if they wanted the backyard kegger, or the arena rock show. of course it was the "kegger" - which was just playing Miss You by RS.
shows like this, make me appreciate PJ.

Sounds like the exact same show I saw 6 months ago. I got a bit bored by the end.

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can't continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one.

Free EP of old ideas they dug up and re-recorded in Austin, TX.
Definitely Wasting Light, but some of it even has a Colour and the Shape vibe (and dates back that far )

Grohl sucks now.
He has pretty much sucked non-stop for 15 years at this point, unless he is behind a drum kit.

Maybe "sucks" is too harsh. I just find him to be tremendously boring. I don't understand his concept of what makes a song interesting or why he always goes for the most obvious, yet bland chord changes. And I just don't think that he is a great frontman. He looks and acts like a total douche on stage, like some kind of grunge-demon-spawn of James Hetfield and Paul Stanley. Trying so hard to be a rocker and impress everyone. It's sad to watch. But it appears to work well for him.

I've always thought that he's been mimicking Jack Black's schick ever since he did the Tenacious D record. Compare his on stage persona on any of the first 3 Foo tours (or Nirvana for that matter). It's like he had a swift personality transplant.
