Band of Horses was awesome.

Whatever happened to Supergrass?

They broke up in 2010.

Me too. Caught them at the House Of Blues last year and it was fantastic.

I can die happy knowing I saw the Buzzcocks.

They've always been good with the opening acts, but there really was something cool about seeing just them at Wrigley. The first song of the night was Release. You can't beat that. They should try a tour by themselves and also possibly look into splitting shows up into two sets like Phish and Rush do. You have 80 to 90 minutes, a 20 minute break, and another 80 to 90 minutes with an encore of one or two songs.

Seeing them open London and Chicago with Present Tense and Release and then move into a mellow 2nd song kind of hints at their age and need to start pacing themselves at this point. Perhaps the days of the quiet opener into a full throttle rocker are fading away. Maybe not, but I'd kind of like to see them start to try new things with the live show.

Black Keys were one show.

I've seen Buzzcocks; Death Cab; Sleater Kinney; Ted Leo and the Pharmacists (ugh); Pharmacists sans Ted Leo/PJ opening for themselves in TO; Band of Horses x2; Mudhoney.

Murder City Devils: .

Supergrass: I like some of their studio stuff. Don't remember them live very well; didn't make much of an impression.

Sparta: Don't remember them at all. (Had to look up who opened for them in St. Louis in 03.)

Death Cab: Great.

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists: Okay. Fine. Meh. Whatever. I've seen worse, but I've seen better.

Band of Horses: Outstanding.

I enjoyed Sparta.

I am excited for how I'm going to get into Pearl Jam again because of this tour.

I remember seeing Idlewilde on the 03 tour and they weren't good live.

I've seen sonic youth, sleater kinney, buzzcocks, mmj, kol, Ted Leo, band of horses, Ben harper and everyone at pj20 open for them, i thought they were all really good, though Ted Leo 3 times in 4 days was a bit much, but Chloe and i said "anks " instead of thanks for a few weeks because of him

Chili peppers opened in Seattle in 2000 although it was billed as with special guests.

Too much positivity in this thread, we need to go back to whining (Idlewild was pretty good in London 2007).



Although I applaud that they opened the 10c lotto for the rollover show at Worcester to those that lost the lotto for the first night (quite possibly the fairest thing they have done with the lotto), it teaches us an interesting lesson about the future of selecting your shows: Put in for "impossible shows" you don't really want to attend late in your selection queue in order to get access to the 10c lotto for added or rollover shows. For example, it would have been smart to add NYC1/NYC2 tickets to your queue in 5th or 6th place, knowing full well you would no chance at them, to get in the mix for a possible rollover show for that city ala Newark in 2010. Hopefully those that lost out on Hartford and Seattle this go around will be as lucky as the Worcester folks.

My thoughts exactly for the last two. Ted Leo was okay, kind of boring but definitely not terrible by any means. BoH blew me away as an opener, mainly cause I'd never heard of them before the 2010 tour. The next day I bought their first 3 albums, been a fan ever since.

I became a big fan of Sparta, Ted Leo, Robert Pollard (Guided by Voices), and Band of Horses thanks to PJ opening slots

my morning jacket & pearl jam was my favorite combo. after pearl jam & tom petty of course, but that's pearl jam as an opener, so it's a whole different ball of wax.

My Morning Jacket and Band of Horses have been great openers.
