Indeed. I wouldn't judge them on anything you saw/heard at the BDOzeb wrote:You're so wrong on this one, spenno.Birds in Hell wrote:Awful, awful band.

I've tried but any appreciation of their merit remains entirely elusive.
And on that disquieting note, I'll exercise some restraint and make a dignified (or as dignified as possible) retreat from this thread.theplatypus wrote:spenno wrote:this album is spectacularly brilliant. If Backspacer was a woman, I'd want to be a polygamist.

I'm no fan of the new album at all but those songs made a lot more sense in the live context.

I have that Arcade Fire show. It is great. I saw them with the National a couple years ago. Great show.
I can understand not liking AF but to say they are "terrible"? Not so much. Incredibly talented band. I don't like Justin Timberlake's music but the dude is very talented.

They go on here at the gorge in about an hour.
My bad on the lack of a gorge countdown thread.

Re: Arcade Fire
Fantastic performance last night. Great crowd, lots of people dressed up. Very glad I went.
My prediction for a local cover going in was Nirvana. They did a brief bit of Teen Spirit. They also covered Hunger Strike!

Win is a huge grunge fan. I'd love to hear them do a Nirvana or Temple song. That would be rad as hell.
