So pretty close to the same amount of deaths in a normal flu year? Tough luck but that number is microscopic and totally insignificant.
Technically, I think children are at less risk of dying from Covid than they are from influenza, but you seem to not understand their role in the equation. Kids don't live at school by themselves. They interact with adults all day and then bring everything home.

So, this is the covid thread, I take it? I miss the old "Anybody want a Corona?" title, but I'm not going to look through 12,000 fucking posts to figure out why it got changed.

Anyway, I have lots of opinions on the terrible things that happened. Maybe I'll post a wall of text later if I feel like devoting the time.

Oh God, please, spare yourself.

Anyway, McP took back control of his thread on Sunday via the title change.

Covid is probably safely in the rearview mirror now, for most anyway. We all know people like Verb in real life, so now we hope & pray the mask mandates & other minor restrictions didn't break them forever.

And adults at this point are vaccinated if they want to be so who cares?

I don't even know what you're arguing anymore, but you've certainly not cared for way longer than the last month or two when the vaccines really moved.

If you put the "no:verb_to_trust" filter on, you'll only have 3 pages to look through.

Name's only been changed for a day.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

My cousin got married earlier this year, so she’s having a big, outdoor reception at the end of July. At first, it was kids invited. Now, it’s been announced it’s vaccinated people only, so I reached out to confirm if we could still bring our one year old. Turns out no, so I’ll be going stag.

Verb using covid as an excuse to keep people’s annoying kids away from their reception isn’t dumb.

Any number above zero is not insignificant.

The Fauci emails contain some... interesting... revelations.

my 11-year old is the only one among my immediate family not vaccinated (she's not eligible yet). she has asthma and severe allergies across the spectrum, and so doctors tell us to be extra cautious.

my sister is hosting a graduation party (high school) for my niece. my 16 year old nephew is not vaccinated (she left the decision up to him). neither is my crazy, Trump-loving aunt. my sister is already giving me shit for not bringing my daughter.

We should probably double check that none of our grants are funding gain of function research at the Wuhan lab.

Also, some sketchy dude talking about taking communications off of email somewhere more secure (not FOIA-able), and then taking to twitter to clarify that his group did not reconvene on an alternate communications platform.

Better a bitter sister than a daughter needing a machine to breathe for her.

Ask your sister if unvaccinated guests will be asked to wear masks. If no, say you won’t be attending.
