I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Nothing. It was like watching nothing.
Still leagues better than The Avengers.
Haha no way. At least Avengers had some structure to follow. BvS was a giant blob. Even if it is a tie, BvS has Affleck so Avengers wins

The BFG - it was well done, and the kids seemed to enjoy it, so I guess it's a winner

Well there were two things in BS's favor:

1.) Curvy Amy Adams :luv:
2.) Eisneberg's Lex Luther. That was exactly what I would imagine a 20-something techie trying too hard to be an evil genius would be like. The character concept was the issue, not his take on it, and was unfairly savaged in the reviews.

Have either of you watched the BvS extended edition? It's such a better film on every level. Scenes expanded and rearranged and extra scenes make the whole thing so much better. And it feels shorter for not being such a confusing mess as the first one.

I hate no actor more than I hate Eisenberg. He sucks so hard.

And you couldn't pay me to sit through a longer version of that mess.

I said the same and did it anyways. It's a totally different and better film.

Don’t Think Twice.

I enjoyed it. It felt honest.

creed...i admittedly have very limited experience with the rocky film franchise, but with creed i felt like i was watching a different movie than everybody else...as the movie progressed anything that was supposed to have some kind of dramatic/emotional heft just felt cheesy or forced (especially balboa's overly fatalistic attitude that lasted for about two scenes)...also, did i miss something or did claire huxtable's note to "build your own legacy" nullify itself a bit when she sent him apollo's shorts? i know it had johnson on one side, but still...i also didn't think sly's performance merited the praise it has received

that being said, i didn't hate the film or anything...i liked the way the matches were filmed, and i thought jordan was good overall

Have you seen Fruitvale Station? This guy's got serious potential as an actor.

i haven't...i know it was either on netflix streaming or amazon prime awhile back, but i never got to it

i think chronicle was the first thing i saw him in, and he really jumped out at me then...i've seen the wire and some other stuff with him since then and i'm definitely a fan

Jordan has tons of potential but Chronicle, Creed, and Fruitvale Station are all terrible, so he needs to find some better projects.

I think it's going to be amazing, but that has everything to do with Gareth Edwards and nothing to do with Star Wars.
