Really wonderful quirky dark film

It's not that Cop Car is a rip-off. Watts doesn't try to be the third Coen. He just seems to love the same things they do. He presents a simple yet unpredictable mix of ironic comedy and a sad crime story where almost every laugh can suddenly turn into an act of violence, where main characters are funny and more or less tragic at the same time

Trag, thats a perfect example of female empowering in a mainstream movie. Not bad moms or ghostbusters but that movie.

Just saw this post. It's a good female empowerment movie, but it's just dated in that late 90s teen comedy sort of way.
