Super hopeful now that this album is the big risk-taking adventure I’ve always wanted from th-
But he went on to note that “Dance of the Clairvoyants” is just one of several flavors on the record.
“There’s definitely some really straight-ahead rock songs,” he said. “There’s some very spare and very simple ballads. It’s got it all, I think”
....sigh....

isn't Atmos a surround sound tech? weird for them to be branching out like that but also holy fuck would that outro sound just
with the swirling lyrics.

Love the Swedish Chef pic (

), and, yes, the labels are slowly just beginning to encode some of their stuff in this new-fangled surround tech.
Anyone specifically with an Amazon Studio device care to report in? Skeptical, but intrigued....thanks!

Only three or for comments down before you get the obligatory 'Please play Brazil!'

Holy shit man, that cover is AWESOME. It's actually better than the real thing because I love how they replaced the cheapish synth with a real guitar. Sounds way better.
It's overall a good damn song.

This was one of the things I hated about it.
Watching it just really bummed me out.
Seems like an enormous waste of time.

Don't get me wrong, I love synths, especially in other types of music, but for DOTC, it felt slightly weak. I do like the melody Jeff laid down though, so it's nice. Replicating it on guitar made it way more organic sounding, gave even more of an RHCP vibe, which I love.
Really digging that cover.

So after a couple of days of this having been out there - I still really enjoy it, but I'm not finding myself compelled so much to come back to this often.

Way to take a great song and make it boring.
The guy did sound remarkably like modern day Eddie Vedder, so I guess that's a curious novelty.

I understand you've actually been making some room for Can't Deny Me. Which, man...wtf.
Oh come on - I gave it one listen cause I couldn't remember it.......and didn't hate it
